This production of The Nutcracker is choreographed and directed Mejia Ballet International founder, Paul Mejia, former principal dancer with
New York City Ballet under the direction of George Balanchine. Set to Peter Illych Tchaikovsky's beloved score, The Nutcracker is, by far, the most widely attended ballet in America.
Prima Ballerinas Olga Pavlova (hailed by Dance Magazine as "The New Pavlova") and Marina Goshko, and Principal Dancers Yevgeni Anfinogenov and Andrey Prikhodko will star in ARTS
San Antonio's presentation of this beloved classic. Over 70 local dancers rehearse weekly with SA Met Ballet Directors Susan Connally and Karin Heiden to provide supporting roles.
